🔎 Over six months, the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression received UAH 73.2 million
This amount was received in connection with the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”.
As you know, the Fund is replenished with proceeds from the forced seizure of Russian assets in Ukraine. In 2022, they amounted to UAH 17.0 billion, in 2023 – UAH 8.8 billion. In 2023, an additional 50% of the National Bank’s profit for 2022 was allocated to the Fund, which is another UAH 35.9 billion. In addition, in 2023, the Fund received more than UAH 114.1 million received in connection with the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”.
In total, the Fund has been replenished by UAH 61.9 billion since its inception in the fall of 2022.
We remind you that the Center for Fiscal Policy Research is implementing a large-scale project “The Cost of War” aimed at creating a single verified database of both expenditures aimed at restoring and rebuilding Ukraine and other expenditures aimed at overcoming the consequences of the war. As part of the project, the Center’s team has developed a unique tool for tracking the expenditures of the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression – an interactive recovery map with a system of filters.
This dashboard allows for a detailed analysis of expenditures in different regions and sectors, ensuring transparency and accountability of the use of funds.
