In a new episode of the Budget Talks podcast, Victor Maziarchuk, Head of the Center for Fiscal Policy Research, said that local budgets have allocated a significant UAH 23 billion to support the Ukrainian army in 2022-2023. In addition to financial support, local communities are actively purchasing the necessary equipment for the military, including drones, cars, first aid kits and bulletproof vests.

💬 Local development expert Oleksandr Solontai emphasized that local communities, despite the loss of “military personal income tax,” continue to actively help the army by providing various forms of support, from procurement to financing.
